Meet the Editor in Chief: Cameron Wagg

“If you are upsetting ignorant people, you must be doing something right.”Cameron Wagg (2025)

As Editor-in-Chief of Grey Bear, Cameron Wagg is responsible for overseeing the magazine’s progression and the team. After graduating with a BA English Literature and Creative Writing at Cardiff University in 2025, Cameron is currently undergoing an MA News Journalism at Cardiff University’s JOMEC.

With a passion for learning, Cameron believes journalism and writing can be used as a tool for good, and enjoys spotlighting the good and hard work of others. He created Grey Bear to be a place of sharing knowledge and platforming other people.

Cameron started Grey Bear (previously Greybear Literature) as a literary magazine by himself before rebranding and growing his team, seeking help from other professionals to expand his vision. After all, how can he claim to want to support other people if he is working by himself?

Transitioning from a literary magazine to a cultural one, Cameron wanted Grey Bear to welcome all types of art, expanding past creative writing, to articles, reviews, interviews, photography, and even artwork.

As Editor, Cameron is excited to see Grey Bear flourish under its new team, and expand both its audience and cultural impact.
